About Me
I’ve been passionate about capturing photos since I was young. I got my first camera at 14, a step above point and shoot camera gifted at Christmas. When I was in high school I upgraded to a canon T3, and then in 2020 when I decided to take this photography thing more seriously, I bought my first DSLR and higher quality lenses. I find myself drawn to details and emotions within my photos, and I give that credit to sitting in the pasture with the horses as a child and observing them, the way their mane flows in the breeze, the warm breath against the cold day creating a dramatic fog, the gentle nuzzle of comfort given to each other. I found it mesmerizing and grounding.
I grew up around horses, started lessons for jumping, and at 13 my career in equine field working to pay off my horse, Forest. I have trained and competed in a variety of disciplines with multiple breeds. With this being said, I provide an experienced perspective with our equine friends. I feel this gives me an advantage to capturing them on camera as I am familiar with stride, finding flattering angles and highlighting their best features.
I have a found a special desire to capture the western world, the messy, gritty, and beautiful way of life. With a special draw to the buckaroo / vaquero form. From bits to tail knots, armitas to wades, it's all intentional. The rich culture, a life worth preserving. I only wished of this life I now call mine, living on a ranch with my two dogs, my horses outside my front door, coffee on the deck with the ambience of cows in the background. I am incredibly fortunate to make a living making art. Thank you all for helping me create this reality.
